"Yesterday, John and I made our way over to the 明证据 (Civil Affairs Bureau) and got married. It was surprisingly simple and a lot of the hours spent I on research were unnecessary. The process consisted of filling out a few forms, paying to have our single certificates translated, taking a photo together for our marriage booklets, and saying our vows."
