Almost Spring

Nice day today in Chicagoland. Last week of Winter. Jo and I took a walk around St. Charles, through a few parks and along the mighty Fox River (still pretty swollen from the recent rain); around Pottawatomie Park, through town, around St. Mary's Park, and back home. It's been a long Winter, and people were all over the place, happy to be out in the sun.

There aren't any leaves on the trees yet (though there are a few little buds) and the ground is still pretty brown and soggy, and for sure there will be some cold days and probably even the usual late snow, but the sky is blue, the sun is warm, and it finally feels like Spring is on the way.
