Lincoln Park August 24th

Jo, Kath, Rich and I piled into the van Friday afternoon and headed down to Chicago to see Los Lobos at Lincoln Park Zoo. Unbelievably long drive due to traffic light malfunctions on North Avenue after Thursday's storms combined with the usual Friday Chicago-area rush hour traffic madness. Took us over 3 hours, but we got there, zig-zagging our way through west-side neighborhoods with John navigating via cell phone to Kath. We picked up Katie on the corner of Fullerton and California, then met up with John, Alissa, Ben, and Mike. The weather held and it was a beautiful night, the concert sold out, and Los Lobos was great. (Thanks to John for the pix...)
